Mosquito Spraying Scheduled for August 18

The Central Massachusetts Mosquito Control Project has tentatively scheduled truck-mounted pesticide applications in Worcester on Tuesday, August 18. The planned date remains subject to weather, mosquito populations, virus activity and special-event spraying. The city will notify the specific neighborhoods included in the operation. Residents in affected areas should close street-facing windows, turn off outside-air settings on air conditioners, keep pets indoors from sunset to midnight, remain inside during the application and for 15 to 20 minutes afterward, and wash homegrown vegetables before consuming them.
