Queens SAFE Disposal Event Returns September 26

New York City residents can bring certain hazardous household materials to the SAFE Disposal event at Cunningham Park on Saturday, September 26, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Queens drop-off will accept items such as automotive products, electronics, household chemicals, rechargeable batteries, medical items, and other materials that can be toxic, corrosive, or flammable. Cars should enter the ball field parking lot from Francis Lewis Boulevard between Union Turnpike and the Grand Central Parkway. The event is for NYC residents only; businesses and commercial vehicles are not accepted. Residents should seal and label containers and avoid mixing products.
