AAP Retest Requests Due September 30

Fairfax County Public Schools parents or guardians may request a one-time retest of the FCPS-administered nationally normed ability test by September 30, 2026. The current assessment is the Naglieri General Abilities Test, or NGAT. Families should contact their local school's Advanced Academic Resource Teacher or assistant principal to submit a request. FCPS says the option is intended for families who believe a student did not perform well on the ability test. This deadline is separate from the Full-Time AAP referral window, which runs through December 15.
