Parkland Trail Grand Opening Set

The Parkland Community Trail will hold its grand opening on Saturday, September 19, beginning at 11:00 a.m. near the Tule Lake Road Trailhead. Parking will be available at 813 132nd Street South at New Pathways and 611 132nd Street South at Brookdale Elementary. The celebration will include remarks from local and county representatives, participation from local schools, a helmet giveaway, a coffee bar, free trees, a guided nature walk, and other activities. A separate guided walk is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. at Sprinker Recreation Center and end at the celebration site, with registration information available through the project page.
