Roots To Rocks Ride Offers Skills

Montgomery Parks will host a free Roots to Rocks group mountain-bike ride Thursday, September 17, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Burnt Mills East Special Park, 10701 Columbia Pike, Silver Spring. The ride is designed as a relaxed, no-rider-left-behind outing with opportunities for skills instruction. Participants must be at least 6 years old, know how to ride a bicycle with gears and hand brakes, wear closed-toe shoes, and bring water. Registration is preferred, drop-ins are welcome, and a limited number of loaner bikes and helmets are available with priority for registrants.
