Micromobility Warnings Begin September 15
Wellington's new micromobility rules enter the written-warning phase Tuesday, September 15. The rules apply to e-bikes, motorized scooters, and other motorized micromobility devices on Village roads, sidewalks, pathways, and public rights-of-way, as well as specified park locations. Operators of covered non-human-powered devices must be at least 15 and carry government-issued photo identification. The Village also sets a 15 mph maximum on sidewalks and pathways, prohibits motorized devices on public bridle trails, and requires helmets for riders and passengers under 16. Written citations are scheduled to begin October 1.
