Center Plans Ukrainian Cultural Celebration

The Howard Beach Older Adult Center has scheduled a Ukrainian Independence Dance and cultural celebration for Tuesday, August 25, from 11:15 to 11:45 a.m. at 155-55 Cross Bay Blvd. The program will feature a Ukrainian folk dance performance followed by a Ukrainian-themed lunch, according to the center's August newsletter and activity calendar. The event gives older adults a local opportunity to take part in a cultural program and shared meal. The center advises that activities can be rescheduled or canceled; questions can be directed to 718-738-8100.
