Gardening Class Covers Invasive Species

DeMotte Public Library will offer Gardening 101: Invasive Species, Insects, Animals, and Control at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 25, for adults. The session will cover how plant choices affect what a yard attracts, ways to avoid invasive or harmful species, methods for encouraging beneficial animals, and approaches to controlling problems already present. The program will be held at the DeMotte Library, 901 Birch St SW, giving local residents a practical way to learn about yard and garden management.
