Smithtown Hosts Narcan Training And Memorial

The Town of Smithtown Horizons Counseling and Education Center will hold a free International Overdose Awareness Day event Monday, August 31, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. at the Horizons Center Community Room, 161 East Main Street. The first half-hour will provide Narcan training, and attendees will receive a Narcan kit and educational materials. The event will then continue with the Purple Rock Project, allowing community members to inscribe loved ones' names on memorial rocks for the Healing Garden. Advance registration is encouraged, and the event is open to all community members.
