Franklin Borough's current calendar lists Thursday, August 27, for leaf and brush pickup. The borough's public works instructions say vegetative waste is collected on the fourth Thursday from April through November. Place leaves, grass, and yard waste in biodegradable paper bags or reusable containers, and bundle branches so no piece is longer than four feet. Materials must be at the curb by 6:30 a.m. on pickup day. The borough says non-biodegradable bags will not be collected.
