Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Returns

Brookline residents can use the Town's free Household Hazardous Waste drop-off Tuesday, August 25, from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Brookline Transfer Station, 815 Newton Street. The program accepts items including lightbulbs and CFLs, batteries, oil-based paint, mercury-containing products, fuels, oil, garden fertilizers, pesticides, electronics, and tires. Proof of Brookline residency is required. The outdoor drop-off area may close or operate on a modified schedule because of inclement weather, so residents should check the Department of Public Works webpage for updates before traveling to the site.
