Defensive Driving Course Ends Tuesday

The second and final session of Elmont Memorial Library's two-part Empire Defensive Driving course is scheduled for Tuesday, August 25, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the library, 700 Hempstead Turnpike. Participants must complete both sessions. The course is open to everyone and costs $33, payable by check or money order to Empire Safety Council. The library says participants can receive a 10 percent reduction on collision and auto liability/PIP rates. Registration began July 13.
