Civic Academy Applications Close August 31

Applications for Aurora's free Civic Engagement Academy close at 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31. The eight-week program is limited to 30 participants and is open to Aurora residents or people employed by a business with a physical presence in Aurora. The academy covers how local government works, connects participants with decision-makers and explores ways to take part in community priorities. A meet-and-greet and orientation are planned for the week of Sept. 14, with sessions beginning the week of Sept. 21.
