Swinehart Field Dedication Set For August 23

Utica Community Schools will hold a community-wide open house and dedication for improvements to Swinehart Field on Sunday, Aug. 23, at 6 p.m. in Shelby Township. The project includes new home and visitor bleachers, concourse and entrance improvements, and replacement paving for the athletic facility used by Utica High School and Eisenhower athletics. The district says the field is on schedule to open for the fall athletic season. The dedication will mark the field's return to regular use after construction.
