Utility Rate Proposal Gets Public Hearing

The Vero Beach City Council will consider proposed increases to water, wastewater, irrigation, and reuse rates on Tuesday, August 25, at 9:30 a.m. in the City Council Chambers at Vero Beach City Hall, 1053 20th Place. The proposal also includes a Readiness-to-Serve Charge for customers within the wastewater service area. The city notice describes the changes as proposals under consideration, not as rates already in effect. Residents in the city's utility service area can attend the public meeting to follow the discussion.
