New City Manager Begins August 10

Sean Joyce will begin serving as Irvine's city manager on Monday, August 10, under an appointment approved by the Irvine City Council. His appointment is expected to last approximately one year. Sean Crumby, the current city manager, is scheduled to remain in the role through August 14 before retiring after more than three decades of public service. The transition affects the City's central administrative leadership and follows Joyce's earlier service as Irvine city manager from 2005 through 2018.
