Summer Electric Assistance Deadline Arrives

August 1 is the final day for income-qualified residents in Mesa's electric service area to apply for the Summer Electric Assistance program. The program is available to customers who receive electric service from the City of Mesa, not SRP, and can remove the monthly service and usage charges for the first 80 kilowatt-hours during July, August and September. The city estimates savings of about $23.50 per month, or up to roughly $70 for full participation. Residents who may qualify should submit their application by the deadline.
