Free safeTALK Training Offered

Hanover County Behavioral Health Wellness will offer free safeTALK suicide prevention training Tuesday, August 25, from 12:30 to 4 p.m. at the Mechanicsville Branch Library, 7461 Sherwood Crossing Place. The session teaches participants to notice when suicide thoughts may be present, use the TALK steps of Tell, Ask, Listen, and KeepSafe, and connect people with community resources. People interested in attending should register through the county's event notice before the training. The session is taught by the Hanover County Behavioral Health Wellness team.
