National Public Lands Day Seeks Volunteers

Volunteers are needed from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, September 26, for National Public Lands Day at Lost Canyon Ranch Open Space, 6581 Lost Canyon Ranch Road. Participants will help remove barbed-wire fencing near the Cattleman's Trailhead to improve wildlife habitat and movement corridors. Volunteers should meet at the trailhead parking lot, about one mile up the property's dirt road. Tools, gloves, and snacks will be provided. Registration is required, volunteers must be at least 14, and the work can count toward community service hours.
