Scenic Fitness Hike Opens McDowell Trails

Maricopa County Parks and Recreation will offer a Scenic Fitness Hike at McDowell Mountain Regional Park in Fountain Hills on Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. The guided 3.5-mile Scenic Trail loop will look for birds, lizards, snakes, and other small animals. The hike is rated moderate, with some loose rocks, sand, and a slight incline. Registration is limited to 15 participants and closes September 3. Call the Nature Center at 602-506-2930, extension 3, with your name, phone number, and group size. Outdoor programs may change because of severe weather or extreme heat.
