Venus Budget Hearing Set September 21

The City Council of Venus will hold a public hearing on the proposed Fiscal Year 2026-2027 budget at 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 21, at the Venus Civic Center, 210 S. Walnut Street. The notice says the proposed budget would raise $671,075 more in property-tax revenue than last year's budget, an 8.5 percent increase, including $285,545 from new property added to the tax roll. The proposed budget will be available for inspection at City Hall, 700 W. Highway 67, and online, and residents may comment at the hearing.
