Parkway Closures Continue

Motorists should keep allowing extra travel time this month. State transportation officials say lane closures on the Wantagh State Parkway between Merrick Road and the Southern State Parkway remain in place, weather permitting, for guiderail rehabilitation. The advisory began in February and was expected to last about four months, so drivers in and around Wantagh should continue to watch for changing traffic patterns through May.
