Smithtown Hosts Overdose Awareness Program

The Town of Smithtown Horizons Counseling and Education Center will hold a free International Overdose Awareness Day program Monday, August 31, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Horizons Center Community Room, 161 East Main Street in Smithtown. The program includes Narcan training from 1 to 1:30 p.m., complimentary Narcan kits and educational materials, followed by the Purple Rock Project memorial activity. Community members may inscribe loved ones' names on purple rocks for permanent display in the Healing Garden. Advance registration is encouraged.
