Sanitation Rules Hearing Set Tuesday

The Department of Sanitation will hold a virtual public hearing at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 25, on proposed commercial waste zone rules affecting Manhattan Northeast and Manhattan West. The proposal would add an implementation schedule for those zones and clarify that an awarded provider may not refuse customers who need less frequent service than the minimum service level. Written comments are due August 25. Anyone who wants to speak should sign up by emailing abadea@dsny.nyc.gov by 5:00 p.m. Monday, August 24; speakers may provide up to three minutes of oral testimony.
