Surfing History Lecture Comes to Delray

The Delray Beach Historical Society will present 100 Years of Surfing in Delray Beach and Beyond on Tuesday, August 25, at its bungalow at 3 NE 1st Street. The city listing places the event at 6 p.m. and says the lecture begins at 6:30 p.m. Tom Warnke, executive director of the Surfing Florida Museum and a Historical Society historian, will discuss coastal preservation and activism in Florida. Registration is listed at $5 for participating historical society members and $10 for non-members.
