RIDOT Begins I-95 Lane Splits

Starting Tuesday, August 25, RIDOT will begin a southbound lane split on I-95 near Route 10 and Exit 33 at the Cranston-Providence line as part of the Wellington Avenue Bridge replacement. All lanes are scheduled to remain open, but the agency says drivers may encounter slowdowns. Edgewood residents using I-95 should stay in their lane, allow extra travel time, and consider Route 10 or I-295 during the operation. The southbound lane split is scheduled to continue through September 1.
