NV Energy Rate Hearing Scheduled

The Public Utilities Commission of Nevada is scheduled to hold an evidentiary hearing Monday, Aug. 24, at 10 a.m. on Nevada Power Company, doing business as NV Energy, and its deferred energy accounting adjustment filing. The proceeding concerns proposed changes that could affect Southern Nevada electric bills, although any final amount would vary by customer class and usage. Residents can attend at the commission hearing room at 9075 W. Diablo Drive in Las Vegas or submit written comments to the commission. The commission may approve rates that are higher or lower than those requested.
