Rochester Schools Open August 24

Rochester Community Schools' first day of the 2026-27 school year is Monday, August 24. The district calendar calls for a half day for grades TK through 12 and ATPS. RCS School-Age Care separately lists August 24 as the first day for K-5, with morning care only and no afternoon care. Families should review building-specific back-to-school instructions and care arrangements before the opening day, especially if a child normally uses the afternoon program.
