Black Vegas History Panel Meets August 20

The city will host Our City, Our Nevada: Black Artists and Elders in Conversation on Thursday, August 20, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Las Vegas Civic Center's second-floor Public Meeting Room at 525 S. Main St. Moderator Carmen Beals will lead a discussion with artists and Nevada elders about how history appears in creative work and what life was like growing up in the state. The program is free and open to the public. A complimentary two-hour parking validation is available in the 500 S. Main St. garage.
