Mail Ballot Request Deadline Is August 25

Applications to request a vote-by-mail ballot for the September 1 state primary must be received by 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 25. Boston's Election Department says every registered voter is eligible to vote by mail. Residents who request a ballot should submit it as soon as possible after receiving it. Completed ballots must reach the Election Department or an approved ballot box by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, September 1. Ballots cannot be dropped off at polling places on Election Day.
