West Roxbury Hosts Zero Waste Dropoff

Boston's Department of Public Works will hold a free Zero Waste Day drop-off Saturday, August 15, from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the West Roxbury DPW site, 315 Gardner Street. Residents can bring household hazardous waste and certain items covered by waste bans for safer disposal. The event gives households a scheduled way to handle materials that should not go into ordinary trash. Check the city's accepted-material guidance before arriving so that items can be directed to the proper collection stream.
