Road Work Brings August Traffic Changes

The Rhode Island Department of Transportation is advising North Kingstown drivers about active road work affecting local routes. Post Road, or Route 1, between Camp Avenue and Oakdale Avenue will have alternating one-way traffic for drainage improvements Sunday through Thursday nights from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. West Davisville Road, from Compass Cl. to Devils Foot Road, is scheduled for milling and paving Thursday night from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Drivers should expect vehicles entering and leaving work areas, use caution, and allow extra travel time. Schedules are weather-dependent.
