Back To School Giveaway Comes to Canarsie Park

A free back-to-school giveaway for children ages 4 through 14 will be held Tuesday, August 18, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Canarsie Park near Seaview Avenue and East 88th Street. The event will include music, refreshments, games, puppet shows, face painting, raffles, and school supplies. School supply distribution begins at 3:00 p.m. while supplies last. A child must be present to receive supplies. The program is hosted by New York State Senator Roxanne J. Persaud.
