Final Summer Ranger Walk Visits Refuge

Sunday, August 30, is the final scheduled date for the summer Ranger's Choice guided walk series at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge. The free, one-hour National Park Service program begins at 10:30 a.m. at the visitor center and highlights Jamaica Bay's nature and history. The series has been scheduled weekly on Sundays since June 7. Residents who want to attend the last August walk should plan to meet at the Cross Bay Boulevard visitor center in the refuge, which is accessible from the Broad Channel A train station.
