M-53 Repairs Tentatively Set for August 12

MDOT is tentatively planning to begin repairs on southbound M-53 near 32 Mile Road on Wednesday, August 12. The township says the current plan is to start after the evening rush hour and reopen the roadway by Monday morning rush hour if the work stays on schedule. Suggested detours include 34 Mile Road, Fisher Road, 32 Mile Road, Mound Road, and 30 Mile Road for westbound travel, with alternate routes using Ebeling Road, Armada Center Road, Romeo Plank Road, and 26 Mile Road for eastbound travel. The start date remains subject to change.
