Ballot Argument Filing Deadline Arrives

Written arguments supporting or opposing Paradise Valley's Propositions 426 and 427 must reach the Town Clerk's Office by 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 5. The arguments will be included in the informational publicity pamphlet sent to households with registered voters. Each submission may be no more than 300 words and must include the applicable signed sworn statement; the filing fee is $25 per argument. Proposition 426 concerns a permanent adjustment to the state-imposed base expenditure limitation, while Proposition 427 concerns a capital projects accumulation fund exemption. The town has published electronic submission procedures.
