Howard Beach Shoreline Cleanup Scheduled

Jamaica Bay-Rockaway Parks Conservancy and the New Hamilton Beach Civic Association will hold a shoreline cleanup at Hamilton Beach Park on Saturday, August 22, from 10:00 a.m. to noon. The meeting location is at the end of 104th Street, past 165th Avenue, in Howard Beach. Gloves, bags, and tools will be provided. Volunteers should wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy closed-toe shoes, and bring water and sunscreen. The event is scheduled for rain or shine, and participants must complete the volunteer waiver before the cleanup begins.
