Night Work Starts on Shore Drive

Neighbors along the Shore Drive corridor should expect a construction change starting May 1. As part of Shore Drive Phase III, lane closures are expected to shift to night work only through Sept. 30, with daytime closures not expected to return until Oct. 1. The project stretch runs from Vista Circle near Lesner Bridge through the Great Neck Road intersection to Beech Street. City updates for May also note a sewer tie-in, continuing water main work, stormwater improvements and new temporary traffic signals.
